【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresfortestingconcretepipesewerlines,whenusingthelow-pressureairtestmethodtodemonstratetheintegrityoftheinstalledmaterialandtheconstructionprocedures.Thispracticeisusedfortesting100to600-mmcircularconcretepipesewerlinesutilizinggasketedjoints.1.2Thispracticeisalsobeusedasapreliminarytesttoenabletheinstallertodemonstratetheconditionofthelinepriortobackfill.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse(seeSection6,SafetyPrecautions).1.4ThispracticeisthemetriccompaniontoPracticeC924.Note18212;Theuserofthispracticeisadvisedthatairtestcriteriapresentedinthispracticearesimilartothoseingeneraluse.Thetestandcriteriahavebeenusedwidelyandsuccessfullyintestingsmallerdiameterpipe,butadditionaldataarerequiredtoconfirmthesafetyandapplicabilityordevelopcriteriaforpipelargerthan600mmindiameter.Largerpipewillbeacceptedmoreconvenientlybyvisualinspectionandindividualjointtesting.Note28212;Theuserofthispracticeisadvisedthatnocorrelationhasbeenfoundbetweenairlossandwaterleakage.
