【摘要】:TheaimofthePrinciplesandFunctionalRequirementsforRecordsinDigitalOfficeEnvironmentsprojectistoproducegloballyharmonisedprinciplesandfunctionalrequirementsforsoftwareusedtocreateandmanagedigitalrecordsinofficeenvironments.Therecurrentlyexistanumberofjurisdiction-specificfunctionalrequirementsandsoftwarespecifications.Theproject’sobjectiveistosynthesisethisexistingworkintorequirementsandguidelinestomeettheneedsoftheinternationalarchives,recordsandinformationmanagementcommunityandtoenablethatcommunitytoliaise,inaconsolidatedmanner,withtheglobalsoftwareindustry.Theobjectivesoftheprojectareto:?enablebettermanagementofrecordsinorganisations;?supportthebusinessneedsofanorganisationbyenablinggreatereffectivenessandefficiencyoftheoperations;?provide,throughwiderdeploymentofautomatedrecordsfunctionality,enhancedabilitiestosupportauditingactivities;?improvecapabilitiestocomplywithstatutorymandatesspecifiedinvariousinformation-relatedlegislation(forexample,dataprotectionandprivacy);?ensuregoodgovernance(forexample,accountability,transparencyandenhancedservicedelivery)throughgoodmanagementofrecords;?increasegeneralawarenessofautomatedrecordsmanagementcapabilitiesviathedisseminationofkeyprinciples;and?maximisecross-jurisdictionalconsistencyregardingthearticulationoffunctionalrequirementsformanagingrecordsandtoenabletheglobalarchives,recordsandinformationmanagementcommunitytospeakwithonevoicetothesoftwarevendorcommunity.Theprimaryfocusofthissuiteofguidelinesandrequirementsisthecreationandmanagementofdigitalrecords.Whilethemodulessupportthelong-termpreservationofdigitalrecords,processestoachievethisarebeyondthescopeoftheproject.Itisanticipatedthattheapplicationoftherequirementswillbeglobalinnature.Therefore,itisimpossible,giventhewidejuridicalrangeofpotentialapplications,toincludedetailedimplementationguidelines.Inaddition,astheultimatetestingenvironmentforthebasisofthesemodulesisyettobedetermined,inclusionofspecificsoftwaretestcasesorscriptswasdeemedbeyondthescopeofthemodules.
