【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativeeffectivenessofwoodpreservativesinroundpostssetinthegroundinfieldplots.Twotestsaredescribed,oneforsmall(3to5in.(80to130mm)indiameter)sapwoodpostswhichisthepreferredtestifmajorinterestliesintestingthepreservativewhenfairlyevenlydistributedthroughoutthepiece,andthesecondforlargeposts(7to10in.(180to250mm)indiameter)whichispreferredwhenthepreservativeistestedunderconditionsofgradientretentionanddistributionnormallyencounteredincommercialoperations.1.2Therequirementsforpreparationofthematerialfortestingandthetestproceduresappearasfollows:1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIequivalentsofinch-poundunitsmaybeapproximate.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
