【摘要】:Theefunctionalverificationlanguageisanapplication-specificprogramminglanguage,aimedatautomatingthetaskofverifyinganelectronicdesignwithrespecttoitsspecification.Verificationenvironmentswrittenineprovideamodeloftheenvironmentinwhichthedesignisexpectedtofunction,includingthekindsoferroneousconditionsthedesignneedstowithstand.Atypicalverificationenvironmentiscapableofgeneratinguser-controlledtestinputswithstatisticallyinterestingcharacteristics.Suchanenvironmentcancheckthevalidityofthedesignresponses.Functionalcoveragemetricsareusedtocontroltheverificationeffortandgaugethequalityofthedesign.everificationenvironmentscanbeusedthroughoutthedesigncycle,fromahigh-levelarchitecturalmodeltoafullyrealizedsystem.Thisstandardcontainsadefinitionoftheelanguagesyntaxandsemantics,andhowtooldevelopersandverificationengineersshouldusethem.
